The Dark Knight Rises wins Most Anticipated Movie

The Dark Knight Rises won The Most Anticipated Movie at Spike TV's sixth annual Scream Awards, beating off competition from the likes of The Avengers, The Amazing Spider Man, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The film's stars Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle/Catwoman), Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (John Blake) were there to collect the award.

The Scream Awards acknowledges achievements in comic books, horror and science fiction. Here is the full list of winners:

The event also featured preview footage of The Woman in Black, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Paranormal Activity 3. The event also featured a farewell tribute to the Harry Potter films, the last installment of which was released in July.

Here's hoping that The Dark Knight Rises will sweep the board at the 2012 Scream Awards.
